Joseph A. W. Quintela has lived and worked half of his life in restaurants with experience as a Sommeler, Mixologist, and Management Professional. Currently his is the General Manager and Wine Director at Toro-NYC where he has guided the beverage program to industry acclaim since October of 2017. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, he is well-versed in the theories of culinary art and has used this background to assemble award-winning hospitality teams steeped in a culture of innovation and collabrative success. He balances work with occasional writing about the wine & spirits industry and parenting with his wife, Erica, in New York City: where Central Park must serve as a (gigantic) backyard.
